Not sure what to say?

I met Don in the mid 1970s in freer Texas he and my dad Alton were friends Don was working on the Exxon mobil. Thomas ranch at the time I remembered one thing that stuck with me about Don. He had a pet crow that would fly over 3 miles to follow him when he came to visit he was a nice fellow he will be missed. By all that knew him

I remember when Don was on the Keystone ranch. We were quail hunting the ranch Don asked where we were from told him Arkansas he told us of stories of transporting prisoners to Little Rock.I ended up in Houston and seen his work at a event near the Astrodome nice guy.

Looking at the wonderful art of Dons that I have in my home and thinking of the good times we had. Sure miss him!!!

Don and I were good friend for many years. I have many of his early paintings. Including some fairly uncommon ones. We stayed in touch over the years and I visited him shortly before he passed. We lost a "good un"!!!

My dad and Mr. Keller were good friends back in the late 60's and into the 70's.He painted a beautiful picture of my dads stud horse Spanish Armada in about 1973 and I still have that painting in the original fram. Sorry to loose such a great person

I did not know Don personally, but one of his paintings hung in my grandpa's house until his passing. It was hung at the foot of his bed so it was the first thing he saw in the morning, and the last thing he saw at night. So sorry to hear of his passing.

I am sorry to lose a good friend. Don and I have been friends for many years and I regret not spending more time with him. My condolences and sympathy to Angela and the kids. I am better for knowing him and will miss him.

My father, Kenneth Aaron, was a very old friend of Don's. My parents had many of Don's paintings. In fact, we have a beautiful painting that he did for us a little over 20 years ago. We were saddened to learn of his passing. My Dad passed away in 2010. Our condolences to Don's entire family.

I rode many miles with Don back in the mid-late 60's transporting federal prisoners between the Travis County Jail and federal prisons in Oklahoma when he was a Deputy U.S. Marshal and I was a Travis County Deputy Sheriff. I shared his heartache when he lost his daughter in a tragic car wreck, met his parents, hunted once with him in Mason. A very talented western artist and a man who loved his family dearly! My condolences and deepest sympathy go to his family.

Adios, mi amigo.RIP....
