Not sure what to say?

Dear Janet and Nathan: So sorry to hear of your loss. I love Peter and will be forever grateful for the support he gave me during one of the hardest times in my life. He gave me courage to hold on when times seemed at there worst. When we I visited Adam-ondi-Ahman I called him and asked if he knew where I was and he immediately knew. I had not mentioned I was going because I didn't know unless the last minute. Can wait to see his gardens in Heaven. Peace be with you and your family.

Peter made Temple Square Gardens very peaceful and heavenly to one's soul.
Whatever troubles you were thinking about~~they went away when you walked the temple grounds. His heavenly talent will still be there in the gardens. You will still feel his spirit from his expertise as a gardener.
His talent as a "gardening artist" of the Temple Square
will leave a "heavenly impression" forever. He had the gift of creating beauty and peace.

I was one of Peter's scouts. We were a tough group of boys who had a hard time settling down in the evening on camp outs. I remember listening intently one evening when he told us one of Edgar Allen Poe's scary stories, he had our full attention and left a lasting memory. Peter's heroic long suffering with us boys set an amazing example for me as I try to do the same for my Scout troop. He is remembered and missed.

I first met Peter in 1958 at Hakone, Japan at a missionary conference held by Paul C. Andrus, our mission president. Peter was fresh from America and was to be my junior companion in Otaru, Japan, on the Island of Hokaido. At that time Peter looked like a cute ten year old boy. He was only five feet tall and a little over 100 pounds. He had a grown-up mind and was extremely smart, along with a strong testimony and a ton of faith. Because of his small size, the...

My Dad, Dwain Luke, worked with Peter for several years on Temple Square. They became very good friend. Dad, Peter and some his kids walked across the Grand Canyon. Peter would call my Dad for his birthday every year. He was a good friend to Dad and our family. Now Peter and my Dad are planting beautiful gardens in Heaven.

The funeral was a wonderful tribute to a great man and his family! I am so proud of you children, my nieces and nephews. You have brought glory to your parents by the way you live your lives and take care of each other. I love you all dearly.

I am touched by Peter's humble gratitude. I learned much at his hands. I still think of "Lost and Hidden edges". I have a personal conviction to how Peter lived his life, always close to the spirit of the Lord. Janet and Sylvia Are choice daughters of God. I don't know of anyone capable of taking his place. Peter has touched the lives of so many, and in-turn blessed the Flora and Fauna. A true Gardener.

A true gardener and friend. I will miss him. Paul S Quist

We served as Inner City Missionaries while Brother Lassig was Bishop. What a wonderful experience we had serving with him. We learned many valuable life lessons from him and will always treasure the many memories we have of him. Frank & Sherry Molett
