Not sure what to say?

Love Family: We were saddened to hear of Don's passing. He was a long time neighbor to many, and personally, I enjoyed our conversations when he would walk by my house on Lincoln with his newspaper in hand. He always had a kind demeanor and a keen sense of humor! Please let us know if you need anything during this time. Extra prayers to Mary Kay!

My condolences Mrs.Love. I remember both of you from Radnor School. Both of you were precious, admirable people. Please share this message with your family.

Don will be missed by so many. I enjoyed many a chance encounter with Don in the establishments of Delaware. It was always a joy to get to have a chat with him. Sending love to the Love family.

My first teacher crush. What a terrific man. So kind and genuine. Respectfully I send my sympathies to Mr. Love's family.

Don was a great friend, colleague, and fishing buddy. My favorite memory of Don was on a fishing trip to Canada. I was running the motor at the back of the boat, and Don was navigating at the front. As we approached the dock, Don was reaching out to help us into our space. Suddenly I realized we were coming in too fast and quickly put the motor in reverse. Needless to say, all I saw was the bottoms of Don´s shoes as he went over the front of the boat. Fortunately he was not hurt, just wet,...

Such a kind teacher. High school can be a bit intimidating but he was always so kind and made you feel important. May he rest in peace

Mr. Love was my math teacher at Whetstone HS in 1970 or 1971. He was always gentle and kind. He also laughed with us and made math fun. I always loved math anyway, so to me he was a really good teacher that happened to teach math. I loved math and science so much I went on to become an engineer. I never forgot Mr. Love, his wonderful name and outlook on all of us teenagers! Many blessings to his family!

Mr. Love, you were truly lovely!! I have never enjoyed math, except your class!! You were fun, patient and kind; thank you for being such a great influence and teacher!!

I only had Mr Love for 1 year at Whetstone, but I´ve never forgotten him. He was the "cool" teacher. Not cool like he let me get away with stuff, but rather he could see beyond what stupid 16-year old thing I was doing that day and turn it productive. He had the patience of Job. I learned a lot from him that year and a lot of it had nothing to do with math. Thank you Mr Love!
