Not sure what to say?

My Uncle Don was one of the kindest and ablest people I ever knew. He could engineer a fjord across a rushing river just as well as he could listen to Berlioz, go birding with my mother, and welcome both old and newcomers to his family. A wonderful human being. We will miss him and remember him.

Don was a kind, funny and wonderful man! We worked together in the Anesthesia Department at OHSU and Don always talked about his family, love of photography and even though he could be quiet -- you knew he loved his life. I was very sorry to hear about his passing. May God bless his family.

Don, a truely nice guy. I worked with and around him for many years at the medical school. He, Fred Arfman and I spent many a "break" and "lunch" together chatting about life.

I lost touch with Don but never with the memory of what a nice person he was to have known.

Don and I met about four years ago at a friend/family gathering. He and I connected through a mutual love of reading and spent two hours or more simply talking "books." From then on, we e-mailed each other with our latest good book discoveries. In the process, I came to know Don not only as an intelligent and caring person, but as a man who cherished his family. Their loss saddens me.
