Don Allan Oberriter

Dear Sharon and family, My deepest sympathy on the loss of Don/your Dad/Grandfather. I worked at Obie's the summer of 1979 and again during the Fall of 1981. I loved my time there and learned the value of hard work and taking pride in it. We always had a lot of fun, too. Don was a wonderful boss and role model and I am grateful to have known him. Sending love and lifting you all in prayer.

I remember sticking my head out of my apartment window over Straws and sweets one day in 1976 while Don was working on the deck just before he and Sharon opened Obie´s. I said to him, hey there are you hiring? He told me yes and I went right down. He hired me and I worked for Don and Sharon for several years. They took me under their wing and kept me employed even during the winter while they closed Obies. Don was like a father to me and even worked my shifts around my going to cosmetology...
