Not sure what to say?

Don and Ginny 2009

Legacy sent me an email and there was Dons wonderful smile. And so, it was both a shock and a joy to see this terrific human being again. I am grateful for the opportunity to remember him and to send my warmest regards to Ginny and her family.

Anyone who met Don Petros will never forget his intelligence, his sense of humor, and great story telling. He had a big personality. His absence will always be felt by those who met him.

Ginny& girls, I am sorry sorry about the accident and Donnies passing.I wished I lived closer so I could give you all hugs, You are in My thots and prayers daily.luv and a speedy recovery, Ginny, my friend for many years

For over 30 years, Donnie and I have been friends. Those years were the best! Donnie and I were like "pack rats", and we would haul home anything we found, that was "free", and there was a lot of it. Whenever Donnie would start a project, he would call me and say,"Do you know where I can beg, borrow or steal", whatever it was that he needed. We always found a good use, for all the junk we collected. I'll really miss him,and our long conversations.

Dear Ginny and girls,
We were so sorry to hear of the accident. We remember all the fun we had with Donnie and you and the kids on Abbott. We are praying for you and the family. Our thoughts are with you.

Dear Ginny,

I am so sad over the tragic loss of Donnie. I can just hear him now at the bakery, "Gretch, you're a teacher and the smartest person I know. What do you think about this?" I have such wonderful memories of his funny stories and his teasing and our political discussions over the past 9 years. Just like family. I will miss him always and his generosity towards our students and staff at Northside ABE, as they always enjoyed his donut holes, the best!

Tiffany and family: I am so sorry for your sudden and tragic loss. You are all in our prayers. May your love for each other give you strength in this difficult time.
