Don Rooper

Donnie and I first met when we were about 9 years old. We both had a love for baseball, and got to play against each other through Babe Ruth. We also shared many a horseback ride and trips to his grand fathers farm. I still remember the many sleepovers and the waffle breakfasts served by his dad and mom. We kind of lost touch after high school but made a short re-connect at our 50th high school reunion. I'm so sorry I missed his memorial service...we had just returned from vacation on...

Roop was everyone's BEST Friend! The stories are endless. He's with his Aunt Margaret now and the laugh meter is turned up way past 10! I'm going to miss ya Sod Buster. I never met a better MAN! Till we meet again Star, Love ya Slugger!

Sadly I did not know Don since his marriage to Cathy! I think of her often since the sudden loss of her partner. Thinking of you Cathy and your shared family. Will come see you when I come to Central Oregon. Sending prayers to you and your family.
