Cobb Funeral Home - Blytheville Obituary

Don Wesley Stallings, 75, Blytheville, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Heritage Square Nursing Home in Blytheville. Don was born to John Wesley Stallings, Jr. and Virginia Elizabeth Haynes in Blytheville, Arkansas. He was retired from farming and a lifelong Blytheville resident. Don served in the Arkansas National Guard and he was a member of Clear Lake Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman, and sports enthusiast. He loved the Razorbacks, hunting, fishing, and playing cards with his Gosnell buddies. He was a devoted "Bubba" and loved his grandchildren unconditionally. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Lee Davis Stallings; his parents; son, Richmond Lee Stallings; brother, Matt Stallings; and sisters, Teena Burnett and Peggy Jackson. Don leaves his son, Michael Don Stallings of Blytheville; brother, Mike Stallings of Blytheville; sister, Beauton Gilbow of Norman, Oklahoma; and grandchildren, Remington Lee Stallings, Lunden Rose Stallings, and Wells Richmond Stallings. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 10th at 2:00 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jason Gilbow officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home.

I remember Don just shaking his head as he walked into the shop one winter as Larry Larwence, Matt, Crigger and others were shooting dice on the cold concrete floor, lol.................seems like yesterday

Jim and I are saddened to learn of Don's passing. He was a good guy, fun to know and connected to family and friends. A member of the 1969 graduating class with Jim and other Clear Lake guys. Rest in Peace, dear friend.

Michael Don, know that you are the rock for your family,and I know you will handle all accordingly.Keeping you,and your family in our prayers.Know your Dad lived a full life,and their are those who never even get close to that age.Always keep your memories of him,as I have found with the loss of both of my parents.Be strong brother.
