The golf course was Don´s sports venue of choice. He was a great supporter of the public courses whenever he travelled, and joined Dallas´s Brookhaven Country Club, where he was a member for more than 25 years. He spent many hours wrestling the greens and sand traps with his golf group, The Kartel. Notes on one of his Master´s Course score cards read, "Hit through and not up. Neutral right hand.
