Don F. 'Poppy' Williams

Funeral service for Don F. "Poppy" Williams, age 70, of Trinity will be Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Mayes officiating. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Courtland Cemetery.

Mr. Williams, who died Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Decatur Morgan Hospital was born September 7, 1943, in Lawrence County to Lloyd Williams and Carrie Holderfield Williams. He was retired for 32 years as a machine repairmen and he loved Alabama Football. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Billy, Jimmy, Joe and Bobby Williams.

Survivors include his wife, Gail Williams; sons, Mark Williams (Veronica) of Florida, Jason Williams (Trudy) of Tennessee; daughter, Rebekah McNair of Tennessee; stepson, Ben White and wife Shannon; grandchildren, seven grandsons; two granddaughters, Amber White and Ella White.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

I am so sorry to hear of Don's passing. He & I worked together @Delphi. I was the maintenance dispatcher on Don't shift. My prayers are with your family. May God grant you Peace, Comfort, & strength.

I am so sorry to hear the sad news about Don. I wish that I had had the opportunity to meet him. Please know that I am keeping all of you and the rest of your family in my thoughts during this difficult time.

Gail, Ben, and Shannon...and rest of the family. My heart is so broken for you. I am soooo sorry about Don and I know what you are going through, but just know the loving arms of Jesus will carry you through these days. Hope to see you sometime this summer. May God bless you.

Don was the most kindness loving brother-in-law he will be missed by me and alot of other people never had bad thing to say about anyone.He was always there to lend a helping hand their will be a huge empty spot to fill in our family he was a PRIZE????
