Dona Larsen

Dona Larsen was a great coach, teacher, parent and friend of the Bastian family. We send our love and admiration. The Bastians

Dona was a special, special friend and associate. Glad we got to share mortality together. She was Heavenly Father's finest! Go bless her posterity and associates!

I never had her as a teacher, but it was always good to see her around at East Jr High School. It was interesting to have her as my "wife" during my 7th grade world history class Islam and having to say I divorce you three times, just to get it over with. It was always good to see her at her big house.

I can remember Dona and her family from when I was very small - my first memory is watching her walk home from church on Main Street --- Many memories growing up with her children , having her as a PE teacher, just part of my life. I do not have many memories of my youth without one of the Larsen's playing a part. I have very fond memories of playing games in the basement of her home. I was a colleague of Dona's for many years at East. Fond memories of a special lady. Wishing the family God's peace.

Coach Larsen was the most inspiring coaches I have ever had. She was always lifting my spirits and encouraging me when I was down on myself.

My prayers are with the Larsen family. I have thought about Coach Larsen many times within the past 30 years or so since I have played on her 'City Champ' volleyball team. I did also have her for English.

Coach Larsen was the most inspiring coach I have ever had. She was really uplifting my spirits since I had a low self-esteem. She was always there for me, ready to encourage me when I was down on myself.

Dona was one of God's choicest spirits and one of our special friends and associates. Dona and Dorrell were legends in the east end. They were great people, treasured friends and great contributors to the city of Boise.

The Bastians are better people because of Dona and her family. She had a way of lifting, inspiring and caring. She was good at lots of things. She was a super mom, great educator, treasured coach, involved citizen and generous philanthropist.
