Not sure what to say?

Don was my idle when we were at CSC in Greeley. I was a street kid from NJ and he was the witty, creative, affable guy from Denver. He was the brother I never had and Mick, Steve, Bob and Fran became my family. We remained close for decades and my visits to him and Toot will always be cherished. He was among the very few that never compromised on his principles and remained true to his lifestyle. I loved him, I miss him, and I still smile when I think of him. RIP Don

Such warm memories of Don and the Allen family. My first home away from home- fifty four years ago was provided by Fran and Bob and the entire family. Back then every weekend spent in Denver soaking up the love. Don, his welcoming smile, and laid back nature, ever present. Years may have passed but not that warm feeling thinking of Don and the Allen's. Thank you Don for the memories.

My heart goes out to Don's family. I knew Don through his brother Mick, my very dear long-time friend. After reading the many beautiful heartfelt comments from his students and others, I feel it was truly my loss that I never became better acquainted with him. He must have been one incredible man.

All the best

Thanks for teaching me to be human

I will never forget the great times we shared in the 60's in Baltimore & California. We had a lasting friendship & will miss him greatly & the many 'chats' we had over the years.
