Donnie was a pretty amazing person
that at the age of 9 developed a high fever from swimming in a lake
and became totally deaf. He went
to Faribault deaf school and learn
to sign and shoveled coal and sent
the money home to his mother. He was quite an athlete despite being
total deaf. He played football,
softball, and had over a .200 bowling average. He was quite smart
and was bothered when people called
him deaf and dumb, but would show
people how smart he...
