Donald Ray Ashworth, of Shannon, passed away on February 7, 2017, at age 77. He and his wife, Annette, were married for 58 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edmond W. and Lillie Ashworth; brothers, Bobby J. Ashworth and Billy Earl Ashworth; and one sister, Betty Jean Taylor.

He is survived by his wife, Annette Ashworth of Shannon; sons, Kenneth, Wallace (Donna), and Stephen; sister, Susie Howard; grandchildren, Tiffany, Robert (Crystal), and Darryl (Kim); great-grandchildren, Cody, Katelynn, Jessica, Jaxon, and Trace; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 10, 2017, from 10-11 AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home with the service to follow at 11 AM in the Chapel. Rev. Tommy Hannah officiating.
