Not sure what to say?

I was baptized by this man at Hinson Memorial Baptist PDX in 1975 in front of the entire city of Portland. Thanks to the kindness of Duane & Audrey Patton when I was 15. I was fostered by them and attended HMBC during my memorable stay in their NE Portland home. John14: 1-6 I now reside in Shelton Wa. Birthplace of Pastor Dr. Donald Baker.I. Attending Calvary Fellowship.

As a young physician in Portland with a profound lack of direction living near Hinson Memorial church I witnessed joy at Pastor Baker´s church. I desperately wanted to change my life. After a Sunday evening service, I asked Pastor Baker if I could speak with him. I could tell that he seemed exhausted but he took me to his office and shared The Four Spiritual Laws with me and I was Saved from a life of dissipation. He then connected me with Captain Buell Balderson who councilled with me and...

I was a new Christian April 30, 1971. God led me to worship at Hinson, under the leadership of Pastor Baker.

Hinson was my favorite Oregon church.

He spoke God's truth. I still have the booklet he wrote in the 70' on "Heaven".

I now live in Waikiki Hawai'i. I currently worship at "One Love Ministries, Kaka'ako, under senior Pastor Dr. David (Waxer) Tipton and others.

We are taught line by line, verse by verse, God's truth. Nothing watered down.

Don Baker was our pastor for some years in the late 1970s until he married us at Hinson on the 13 of June in 1981.
So sorry to hear of your loss. May love and good memories be a blessing and comfort to you!

P.S. Our mom Kurth & her brother (Earl Johnson)were high school classmates.

Dear John and Barbara,

Know that we are with you through this valley of grieving and rejoicing at the same time, as you memorialize the passing of your Dad into the next life. Grieving for the loss of his presence with you here, and Rejoicing because you know his glorious destination and resting place.

Besides being reunited with your Mom, this is another blessing he's experiencing, "Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you...
