Barnie became a very good friend, when I was a Freshman at SOUTH DAKOTA STATE UNIVERSITY, in 1963. He was on the HOBO DAY COMMITTEE; a "big man on campus," and very kind to us "newbies." Barnie & I kept in touch over all these years, in SD, CO, & even after I moved to AZ. He was such a kind, caring man, & will always be missed. - - - "until we meet again, my forever friend" - - - God bless you. Gini Casey

I knew Don from the class of 1960. Later he was a presence in our lives at SDSU. When we returned to Rapid, he was the mayor of Rapid City and still a close frienad. Always enjoyed his humor and friendship. Rest in Peace, dear friend. Georgine Payton Richardson
