Not sure what to say?

To Lois and extended family, we send our sincerest condolences. It was a privilege to get to know Don through John and Michelle McDonald. Don was truly a kind and giving soul, always respectful and genuinely interested in our family and our Jewish faith. May his memory be for a blessing.

He was a great soldier, officer and gentleman. I did not serve under Don as I was in the unit a few years after his departure. However, meeting him thru our Casper reunions I would have been proud to be under his leadership!

Twelve and a half years ago is when we first met Don and Lois. My husband and I were married at PFUMC and after church service the following day, Don and Lois caught us outside. Don was insisting on taking a photo of us, we still have it! We were blessed to have attended church with them and have missed them. Our hearts go out to the family as we pray for strength and calmness.

I only met Don when he contacted me during my father's prolonged illness and funeral. My father, James Bliss from Towanda, IL I believe shared the same Grandfather with Don and his brothers. Anyway we got to corresponding and I found him to be such a learned man with a keen interest in family and history. We finally met on a trip to visit my daughter in DC and a side trip to Gettysburg. My condolences to his family for their loss.
