Not sure what to say?

I just found out that Don died. I am very sorry. He was such a nice, interesting and energetic peron. He had the BEST smile! I always felt really good after talking with him at church. He had a gift for making people feel special. However, he is the one who was special. My sympathies to your family.

Jeri, We had our first DMM District Optimist Meeting without Don this past Saturday. What a void there was. The moment of silence in his memory was one that could have gone on for hours, as I am sure everyone that knew him in Optimism could reflect on many times that Don brought happiness to our lives. Thank you for sharing him with all of us and also being a big part of the DMM District. We miss Don. May you find peace in knowing that he left this earth a much better place.

Dear Jeri, Back in the 60's when I entered the investment business,I met Don thru my sales manager, Herb Freedland.I knew that if Herb considered Don to be a good friend, that Don had to be of the highest of character and integrity. Don was truly that. I will miss seeing Don at the monthly FPA meetings, and I send my love and condolences to you and your family.Love, Jerry Webb

The Bloedow family.
Although I never met Don, over my many years of working with Nancy, I came to know him quite well and you have my condolences on his leaving you.

Nancy, Fred & boys:
We have been friends for almost 30 years, working together at VA. We have been through many, many life changes over the years, but none sadder than losing one of our parents. I know you were so very close to your Dad and family as well. Please know that your VA family is here for you, no matter what. We love you, pray for you at this most difficult time, and hope that you can feel all of the warm hugs and thoughts that are with you and your family during this...

My deepest condolences to the entire family. Don was an amazing guy. I met Don when I married Keith and started attending TLC. (I understand Gretchen baby sat for keith when he was little) I can't remember the first time I met Don, because every time Don greeted me it was memorable. When I lectored he always came and thanked me after the service. He always had a warm smile, a twinkle in his eye, a firm handshake, or an arm around the shoulder. He was truly a gift from God and I'm glad I...

Don and I met through the Financial Planning Association of MN. He was the one with the warm smile, the heartfelt handshake, and thoughtful comment. He's known as a leader in our profession, one of the veterans that lead the way. He always took time to care. He sent me a most meaningful card of encouragement and support during my leadership - I kept the card, it made such an impact.

My condolences to your family - Don is a great man that will be missed.

Nancy,
We were so sorry to hear of your father's death. We were together only a few times, but recall enjoying the time spent with him.
He was a big part of your lives and we know how much you will miss him
Our thought and prayers are with you, Fred, Brian and Matt.

Jeri & Family,
All of us in the Bloomington Optimist Club will miss Don and his love for life! He was a big part of our club and he will be missed for all the good things he did for his community. He was a real advocate for getting new members and teaching them what it is to be an "optimist". Our prayers are with you and the family!
