Not sure what to say?

Don and I were DODDS teachers in Okinawa. I met Don and Joann on a Southeast Asia tour. We hit it off immediately. In l971 they visited my husband and me in Madrid, Spain, and we took a trip to Morocco together. Through the years, we visited them several times in New Jersey. I was saddened to learn of their deaths.

A very brave man

It has been a long time since I lived in NJ but I grew up in Randolph and my family attended Bethlehem Church. I have fond memories of the entire Bostrom family and can still remember them. My dad, Ted, played in the church softball league and I used to go with him to cheer on the Bethlehem team. It was fun, everyone had nick names, my father's was "The Big Stick" because that was printed on his bat. He was good hitter but not a good runner.
A highlight of our summer was when our dad...

My condolences to the Bostrom family.

Don was a gentleman, a real gentle man. He hired me to teach students at Randolph High who had been away from school, mostly for 28-day drug treatments, and who were allowed back in school for the regular schedule, and needed tutoring in their free periods.

I recognized Don's care for these students, and he gave me the opportunity to teach these youngsters, one-on-one, in their free periods. I loved teaching, and he made it possible for me...

Dear Joann, Brenda, and Chris,

So sorry to learn of our good friend Don's passing. We have many memories of Don. He put in a good word for Eleanor at Randolph HS when she was searching for a Morris Country High School to continue her teaching after we were married. Also, we recall he encouraged our daughter Michelle about Wheaton College where she finally enrolled. Going back, Sun High Orchards and Virkler's in Succasunna were some of the last of an agricultural tradition. We quit in...

My sincere condolences to the Bostrom family for the loss of their loved one, may God strenghthens you all and may you find comfort through his words found in John 6:40.

So sorry to lose Don Bostrom, a favorite teacher in both Dover and Randolph and an outstanding citizen from one of Randolph's distinguished families. May his memory sustain his family, friends, and all of us always.

Had Mr. Bostrom for History, Sophomore year, 1962-63, Dover High School. You could not find a nicer teacher. Well liked by all the students.

Would always look for him and chat when shopping @ his Sun Hide Orchard Farm.

My deepest sympathy to the Bostrom Family. Mr. Bostrom was a wonderful person. He was my Guidance Counselor at Randolph and he went to bat for me many, many times. If it were not for him, I would not have received the educational opportunities that I did. I enjoyed seeing him at Sun High Orchard and he'd always ask me how I was doing. Mr. Bostrom had a contagious smile and he'll always be my favorite at RHS.
