Just an outstanding human being. Truly was the nicest person. I'm just glad I had the chance to meet and converse with him.

A truly amazing man, and an inspiration to us all. I feel so very blessed to have known him, and to have worked on so many projects with him. He was not only brilliant, but so eager to share his ideas and keen insight with everyone. I learned so very much from him. Just being around him made you smile, and he took pleasure in sharing a joke, or a witty comment that made everyone laugh. He was just an all around terrific guy, and he will be sorely missed. Stacey and I send out our deepest...

Dear Mrs. Brick & Family, We were reflecting upon the loss of "The Donald "and the last time We enjoyed His company. It was when We all met at the BSO talking sharing stories and jokes. He was full of life and was in command of the table. A Mam of His benevolence and the way He lived His extraordinary life will be sorely missed by many. We will wish for wonderful memories that will warm and help heal your hearts. Our heartfelt condolences for your loss of the "The Donald".

That day Don was applying the thinking of a noted mathematician named Norbert Wiener to a practical problem involving photons in pattern recognition (the paper he was reading was entitled "Wiener's Canonical Forms"). I had no idea of what he was doing but that didn't stop Don from exchanging a few jokes, a pun or two, and extending an invitation to come back whenever. Don loved company even when it involved someone...

Even though I knew Donald was having medical issues for the past several months, I find that I am surprised by how truly saddened I feel to learn of his passing this afternoon. He was one of the truly great men of our family, who served as an inspiration to me from an early age, when I thought I might become an engineer, like him. I continued to be awed by his intelligence, energy, and active involvement in the scientific community right up to his final days.
Most of all, Donald was...

Our condolences to Phyllis and the entire Brick clan. Uncle Donald was a true gentleman ...... and just a really great guy. We always enjoyed the time we spent in his presence.

Phyllis and Don's great family...please know that the folks from HTS in both Israel and U.S. are going to miss Don dearly. Don was respected worldwide and it was truly a great honor for HTS to be associated with Don for so long. We are all deeply saddened by the news and holding tightly onto many fond memories of wonderful times spent with Don over the years...he was a remarkable man.

With deep respect and sadness
