Donald Broge Obituary
Donald H. Broge, 88, of Roscoe, IL, passed away, Monday, October 22, 2018, at Fair Oaks in South Beloit. Don was born August 28, 1930, in Rockford, IL, the son of Daniel and Margorie (Gabel) Broge. He married the love of his life, Friederike, on September 16, 1952, in Montreal, Canada. Donald was proud to serve in the United States Army from 1947-1968. He worked for The Rockford School Board for 20 years. Donald is loved and missed by his wife of 66 years, Friederike; sister, Dorothy Lutmer; half-sister, Patricia Doser, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Donald was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Ella Wright, Marjorie Bennett, and Betty Clayton.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, October 26, 2018, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. To share a condolence, please visit www.sunsetfhmemgardens.com.
