Not sure what to say?

Carol I will always remember how kind and thoughtful Don was to me and the other IM residents.Jack Uslick

I always found Don Burns in good humor and could rely on his medical evaluations when he consulted on my patients.I never had the privilege of serving under him as a intern but could readily observe his interactions as a mentor. A great loss to Grandview!

Dear Mrs. Burns,
My sincere condolences to you and your family.
Although I never met Donald I knew his name in
the Ethel rural clinic where each of us served,
nevertheless, five years apart. A few years ago
on a trip back to Kirksville I went to Ethel but
found that clinic closed.
All the best to you and your family.
Cordially yours,
Richard Burns, D.O.

I trained under Don starting right after he finished his residency in IM at Grandview Hospital . Great teacher, kind, patient and generous. He always treated the residents well and I especially remember trips to postgrad courses. It was always a thrill to meet up with he and Carol at ACOI annual meetings.
Heartfelt sympathies.

Carol,

I will remember Dr. Burns as a kind man with a mischievous twinkle in his eye.

You and he are part of my memorable past.

I am grateful to have known Dr. Burns.

Carol, my heart goes out to you and your family. Dr Burns will always be remembered by me as the kindest, most caring doctor, and I have sincerely missed him (and you) since his retirement. There will never be another like him. Praying for your peace.

My condolences to Carol and family. I worked in Respiratory Therapy at Grandview Hospital for 13 years under doctor Burns' leadership. I was also his patient after I developed asthma. I have good memories of him and the department of Respiratory Care. God Bless...

Such a kind man and great doctor. Dr Burns treated everyone he worked with with the utmost respect and was always willing to share his knowledge.
