Not sure what to say?

I admired Don for being a fine band director, respected music judge and most importantly a fine person. I still have his handmade keychain from the 1984 American School Band Director's Association National Convention held in Akron,OH. We were members of this honored organization. I am sure he leaves a legacy of appreciative students and peers in both Ohio and South Carolina. Don was exemplary in every way.

I have been blessed with the best neighbor's for 27 years. Don was the sweetest guy he was a second grandad to me and barb is another grandma to me. Don passed away doing his second love his first love was being around his wife and family. We love you barb

Don was a great friend to me and my family

I have been fortunate to have Don as a friend for 35 years. He was one of the most kindest persons I have ever known, quick wit, and loved jazz. How special he left us playing golf, almost his first love ,in retirement.

Chrissie, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Your family is in my prayers.

I am sincerely sorry for your loss. Don was such a sweet and kind person. He always had positive things to say to me about my lesson plans and class when he subbed for me at Spann Elementary School. He was a wonderful man.

Rest In Peace Mr Butch. You were an incredible person and band director. To this day when I hear a drum line cadence I want to march. Thank you from a 1970 Rootstown High School graduate.

Barbara, Jack and I are so sorry to hear of Don's passing. He was a great man.Our hearts and prayers are with you and your family.Love, Donna
