Dear Marge and Family

Please accept my deepest condolences on your loss. I just learned of Don's passing as I was looking through the Enquirer on line. Don was an absolutely great human being. I so much appreciated the opportunity Don gave me in the early 1970s by allowing me to work at Redwood & Ross part time while attending KCC. I enjoyed working for Don and will never forget him.

Uncle Don was one of my favorites. I remember one time we stopped to see them right before my daughter's second birthday. Uncle Don thought we should have her practice blowing out candles so he lit them, we sang Happy Birthday, and she blew them out after several tries. Then he thought we should do it again. So we did. We probably did this 10 more times singing the complete "Happy Birthday" song first then had her blow out the candles. Then later on, Deb, Pat, and James came over, so we...

Dear Marge and Family,
So sorry to hear about Don. What a wonderful and sweet man he was! We were blessed to know him and I know my parents, Danny & Annie Ure, treasured the friendship that they had with you and Don over the years. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and we hope that you are comforted by the Lord's love during this holiday season.
God bless! Love, The Ure Family

Don was such a part of our local community that the neighborhood will never be the same without him. For over 26 years he was our friend and neighbor. He was always there with a smile and a kind word, and he was like a grandpa to our daughter Sarah. We will surely miss him.

I feel so fortunate that Don was a part of my childhood and will forever hold memories of my rides on Redwood & Ross's circular racks very close to my heart. My prayers are with all of you during this difficult time.

We will miss you Don

Marge and family we are sad to hear of your loss of a Wonderful Man. We will miss his Smile,Hugs and Neighborly walks and talks. Spoke of you all with much pride and love in his heart. Photo I have added was taken on Aug 16, 2010 Don came down to visit our grandbabies that were in town. He had a way with even the youngest. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Not only was Don the best dressed man in Battle Creek but he was also one of the sweetest, he was a man who genuinely cared about people and he will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, may your memories bring you comfort.

Dear Marge and family,
Know that you are in my prayer in this time of sorrow and loss.

I know Don "Papa" through his youngest grandson Brian who I am dating. Papa was such an amazing man and blessed the life of so many people. I am truly blessed to have known him and he will always be in our thoughts. My thoughts and prayers are with Nana and the entire family.
