Donald James Carlyon

I was saddened to hear of Don's passing. I was student at Delta from 1969-1971, and then a music instructor at Delta from 1977-1999. I respected him a great deal.

In the summer Don often spent his evenings sitting on his porch. Walking by we would join him discussing our mutual interest in history; specifically his book on the 1893 Chicago Worlds Fair. We miss our summer times with him.

Don was my inspiration to get involved with the Bay County Library Board. His leadership and wise intellect was a gift he brought to all who served with him and the community. Don was a solid, honorable and tireless servant of the community. Peace Don. Robert Lachance

Wonderful person. I remember both he and his wife well from a luncheon I attended and had the pleasure to sit at his table. His wife was lovely as well.

I admired him very much. He did so much for Delta and for the community
