I always enjoyed my time with Don and Heidi at the Nor East'r Festival. He had so much fun interviewing the kids for the free guitars for kids. His face would light up when they finally would give the guitars away. He was a kind and loving man who loved his family well. He will be missed for sure.

Our hearts and prayers go out to Don's family. Don was a special man to many here in Free Soil. He and his wife Heidi made THE best burgers ever when they owned The Heidi Hof! We remember Don for so many reasons, one of which being his sponsoring Team Heidi Hof, a slo-pitch softball team "back in the day." I remember Uncle Don always loved a piece of cake or pie! May he rest in peace and may Heidi and family be comforted in this time by the love of God.

We remember Don as one of the finest men we have ever known and never talked ill of anyone. Two of my (Carolyn) memories are Don calling on a Sunday afternoon asking if "Ricky could come out and play" and that meant two-tracking in our Jeep and the Lobster Dinners At Emerson Lake Inn.
