Not sure what to say?

As children, I was Don & Dick's "Honorary sister" (whether they liked it or not!) because I loved their parents so much. This week I have been re-reading letters from all four Clokeys....as I corresponded with Sara & Cam until they passed on. (I have always continued to talk with Sara in my mind.) Reading the letters again caused me to google my honorary brothers and that is how I have just learned this sad news. Don had such incredible parents....and they were so proud of him....it's only...

My sincerest condolences to Don's loved ones. I worked with Don for about 25 years at both Madison County MHC and SPVMHC. He was a mentor to me when I was a student and a co-worker. His patient and accepting attitude made it easy to learn from him. His support and encouragement made me a better employee and a better
a better person. He will be missed.

Don and I in a Christmas Eve service recreating the writing of "Silent Night"

My heartfelt sympathy to Judy and the Clokey family. My time with Don was some of the most enjoyable of my life. More than just my pastor, he was very honestly a true friend. I always enjoyed working special programs with him, like Christmas Eve and Maundy Thursday services, that brought life to their message other than a standard sermon. He will be missed by his extensive communities.

So many wonderful memories of our family with yours as well as at church in Westerville. Much love

My deepest condolences. Your father was the kindest, most gentle man I ever knew. He lit up the room whenever he walked in. His laugh was infectious. He will be missed. Prayers to all of the Clokey's. He continues to live in all who knew him.
