Not sure what to say?

Dec. 29, 2010.
Hello to Evelyn and family, I am Keith Zilk.
It was early in 1953 when I went to work for Don in his studio on SW 14th Street.
You, Evelyn, Jeff , Janice, and Don, lived in the living space behind the studio. I spent a lot of time in the basement darkroom printing black and white photos. As I remember Jeff was about four years old and Janice about two years. Jeff would come down the back stairs to the basement, (where he was not supposed to be), but there were...

It was many years ago that Don worked with me on our product photos: mostly from the late 1960's till the early 1990's. He was talented, very unpretentious and easy to work with. He was a gentleman in a world where business was becoming increasingly difficult to conduct and it was appreciated.

Dear Evelyn and family,
So sorry to hear about Don. It's been 4 years since my dear Richard died so I sort of know what your going through. I will always have great memories of our fun times in Sunriver at the pole-houses and skiing on Mt. Hood. We got to celebrate New Years 2000 together at Claremont. I moved to the Bethany area and would love to keep in touch

It has been many years since I worked for Don (1998-2000) in the office. He was a great man and wonderful boss. I am sorry to hear about his passing.

Hi, Evelyn and Family, I'm sorry to hear of Don's death, and commiserate with you. Ray died 12 years ago, so I know what a loss it is for you. Jeanne Steed, SR neighbor and MAC friend.

I admired Don when I first met him in 1970, and remember him well as a true gentleman and wonderful photographic artist. While at Pendleton Woolen Mills I hired Don to "shoot" many of our models wearing our clothing or cuddling up to our blankets. I'll never forget his exclamation when the shoot went well. . . ."Just Peachy."
I wish I would've gotten to know him better. A truly remarkable and good man. Bill Klausman
