Donny was my cousin. I didn't get to see him a ton, at least once a year up at the farm-- those were my favorite times growing up. I'll always cherish the memories we made, y'all making chowder, us playing softball and volleyball (everyone humoring me despite how little and bad i was!) I met Don 15 years ago while working with him at Big Y Foods. He was a great friend and one of the funnest guys that I've known. Be it rocking out to 80's hairband music and playing Euchre at his house in 16 acres, or the Nintendo Football tournaments at his house in Agawam, or street hockey tournaments in Ludlow, I considered Don a great friend and was happy to "grow up" with him. Probably most of you don't know who I am, but Donny was my son. He not only was a loving son but he also was a loving father and husband. He will be greatly missed by many because of the kind of person he was but the good news is that I'm standing firm on the promises of God in that I will see him again in a place where there is no pain, no sickness and no death. With my faith in Christ and my trust in his word I will get through this eventually. I miss him dearly

I am a friend of Brenda's and I met Don at an Aquanett performance at the brass rail and he is with me in spirit whenever I go to their shows. I feel so blessed to be able to say I knew him. I would like Brenda and the entire Copella family to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers and I am so sorry for your loss.
