Not sure what to say?

I was a classmate of Don's at SOM, class of '88. I did not socialize with him much, but have thought about Don several times over the years, because of one seemingly small incident. Don ran a small sandwich stand at SOM and one time after buying a sandwich I accidentally dropped it, and when I picked up a second and approached him at the cash register to buy it, he explained to me in a very thoughtful tone that he could not charge me full price, as he would not be making that sale if I...

As a Westhill classmate I remember, yes he was valedictorian of the class, yes he had an amazing day and made his X-country team be Section 3 champions, but mostly he was a different duck who laughed at himself more than anyone else. One example arose around the end of college as we were driving on Route 11 N. of Homer. I pointed out that the hill on the West edge of the valley was incredibly steep. I remember Don- -in classes -washing dishes with me after a school event -leaning over the railing of an old spiral, stories-high staircase in a historic building saying, "Let's spit!" -at a French film -at a party -pointing out to me, with pride, the hardwood floors his mother had refinished -in his nyc apartment with the bathtub in the kitchen -at the Met -at a reunion I admired his intelligence and talent. Only when I saw him perform a song and dance from Oklahoma (?) in our...

So terribly saddened to hear of Don's passing. The best part of my high school days - the bike rides to Bob's house to play catch on Parsons Dr. Don was "the quiet" one. The Cram family was terrific. Thoughts, prayers, and great memories.

I was a classmate of Don´s at Cherry Rd. Elementary and Westhill Sr. High and was shocked and saddened to see his obituary. It immediately brought to mind Don´s first day at Cherry Rd.,in what was 5th or 6th grade, when Don showed up in the whitest of white pants I or my classmates had ever seen. Lunch period recess in this era was total mayhem and I remember Don, good natured even then, joyously throwing himself into our game (Kill the guy with ball) not worrying one bit about his not so...
