I did not know "Grump" but wish I had based on his beautifully written and heartfelt obituary. My sympathy to his family and those close to this beloved man. You have tough shoes to fill but it sounds as though you recognize that and have learned the most beautiful of life's lessons from this extraordinary, simple man.

HOW TRUE ARE THE WORDS SAID ABOUT GRUMP.
BOB AND I SEND OUR LOVE TO THE FAMILY.

I have many fine memories of playing 9 and 5 with Grump,Hap and John when he and Nancy were living in an apartment on Meadow St. We also spent many enjoyable hours fishing together in Winsted. He has been thought of often as I recall all the basketball games I watched he and John play in Winsted and Torrington. A wonderful athelete and person. Dick Morton
