DONALD LEE "DON" CURTIS Memorial services for lifelong Cortez resident Donald Lee "Don" Curtis will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 18 at Lifeway Baptist Church. Pastor Randy Curtis will officiate. Don was born August 16, 1944 in Ogden, Utah the son of Harry William and Josephine Gertrude (Watt) Curtis. He passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017 at his residence at the age of 72. Don married A. Louise Miles on August 11, 1962 in Cortez. He was a devoted member of Lifeway Baptist Church. Don loved music of all forms but he particularly liked the bass guitar. He also enjoyed woodworking in his free time. Surviving Don are his wife of 54 years, A. Louise Curtis of Cortez; his children, Randy Curtis (Fawn) of Cortez and Joyce Horne of Cortez; by his grandchildren, Kellan Horne and Declan Horne, both of Cortez; and by his siblings, Ruth Miller (Richard) of Washington, Mary McGettrick (Jewel) of Arizona, Harry Curtis of San Francisco, Calif., Bill Curtis of Virginia, and Pat Sand (John) of Florida. Don was preceded in death by his parents; and by his daughter, Vickie Curtis. Memorial contributions may be made in Don's name to the Southwest Open High School.

My condolences. It's been years but I've always remembered you all with happy memories. May God's peace be upon you all and may you be surrounded with love and support during this time and always.

So sorry for your loss. Don was always a uplifting friend. He will be missed,by many.

I remember having nice conversations with Don at work, or just on a side walk somewhere in town. He was never too busy to be a neighbor, or wave, smile and say "hi". We need more like Don on this planet, miss him already.
