Donald Daniel Danis, 73, died suddenly June 17, 2007. Born in Goffstown he has resided in this community for most of his life. He was the son of Alfred A. and Olivine L. (Barbeau) Danis.

Mr. Danis was the owner and operator of D. D. Danis Construction for many years. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the United States Navy. An accomplished dancer, Mr. Danis was a dance instructor with Arthur Murray Dance Studio. He enjoyed the outdoors and took many camping trips with his family over the years.

He is survived by 9 children Kurt Danis of CO, Lynda Bowen of OK, Paul Danis of WA, Mark Danis of Pembroke, Eva Chiesa of Candia, John Danis of Hooksett, James Danis of Hooksett, Jennifer Danis of Manchester and Derek Danis of Manchester. 13 grandchildren. A sister Doris Jarosz of Laconia. A. companion Anne Pickard of Goffstown. His former wife, who remained a close friend, Lesley A. Danis of Manchester.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at French and Rising Funeral Home 17 South Mast Street Goffstown. Funeral services will be Friday 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Though Donald and I were not close friends, we were high school 1953 classmates....a family of friends that grows dearer over the years. Donald will be remembered as a tall, dark, handsome fun-loving friend to all of us.

Donald, thanks for so many happy and fond memories. You will be greatly missed.
