Not sure what to say?

Still thinking of you, Big D., “Riding the Gates of Heaven.”

Thanks for your mentorship, your service to our country - and for being a great example to so many, including me...

So sorry to hear about the death of Donald. I know that you and Bruce took wonderful care of him as his health declined. He was such an asset to Central New York. I have special memories of the times I spent at your house in Phoenix and at the camp in the Adirondacks. Know that I am thinking of you.

Rest in Peace in the Wired Woodshed of the Heavens. Our memories will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

As a little girl my Dad, Jerry Santulli and I would bring a list of family birthdays to Mr Dauer every week, so that he could announce them at the end of his broadcast. Oh how the family looked forward to listening to his show and hear their names at the end. I was fortunate to meet Mr Dauer on several of those occasions. What a kind and gentle soul he was. One that I will remember the rest of my life as part of my childhood. I pray for peace for your family during their time of loss. ...

Our sincere condolences to the entire Dauer family. After a long and fruitful run on Earth it's time to 'grab it and slam it' in Heaven. Cherish the memories and celebrate a life well lived!

One of our earliest memories of moving to Phoenix 40 years ago was hearing Don Dauer introduce his program with a compliment to Phoenix, which he referred to as "the Garden Spot of Oswego County." It was a nice welcome to our new community, and we've stayed here ever since.

Our deepest condolences go to his family, and his enormous circle of friends, followers and proteges.

Condolences to Don Dauer's family and friends from all of us at WCNY Classic FM. I heard that voice from the "Wired Woodshed" for many years when I was growing up and as a young woman! Farewell to a great colleague in Syracuse radio.

My condolences to the entire Dauer family.
I was fortunate to know Don through our trap shooting community. We shared many fun times together and he is going to be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The world has lost a beautiful person.

Broadcasting from the "wired woodshed"...an early influence on my Broadcast career..a gem..a pro..
