I worked for Capt. Dertien for several years, as Assistant to the Marine Director, for the Panama Canal Commission. He was fair and professional in all his dealings, and will be sorely missed by me, and many others.

Our thoughts and prayers have been with Don and Patricia for months. Our happy memories of Uncle Don will always will be with us during this time of grieving. Our prayers go to the family during this time also.
