Not sure what to say?

Ditto for me with respect to Carl McCullough's and John Earhart's entries. I remember him extremely well, and the memories are all good. When he left the Academy, it was a loss to our class and to the Company. Don was an inspiration plebe year, partly because he was accustomed to the military life and was helpful to all who asked him for help. I remember him as "all-Marine Corps" and am glad that our paths crossed, however briefly.

My sincere condolences to the family and friends of one good guy. I was one of Don's two roommates our second year at the Naval Academy. He was a good friend whose company you couldn't help enjoy. He didn't let the pressures of Academy life get him down and could always make you smile. It was Don who annointed me with my USNA nickname. I have nothing but good memories of him and am sorry to learn of his passing.

We knew Don as a Midshipman at the Naval Academy. We are both originally from Bartlesville, so there was a natural bond among "Okies." Don was a good friend, and we'll cherish our memories of him forever. We regret not knowing him in recent years, and extend our heartfelt condolences to all the family.

I was in the same company with Don at the Naval Academy. I have heard from several of our classmates who heard of Don's passing. I just wanted to convey my sympathy to Don's family and loved ones. ALthough we were only with Don a short time we all share fond memories of this consummate Marine. He made his presence known among his classmates in a positive way. I am sorry not to have known him in his later years or his family. May God bless those he leaves behind.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Don was a great guy. It was my priviledge to know him. He enriched my life in so many ways not the least was always having a joke and ready smile. I did not find out about his passing until late this afternoon. I am sorry I missed the service.

Julie, you, Courtney, Greg and the kids will be in my thoughts and prayers.

To Julie and Family:

We are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Stay strong in your faith and know that one day you will soon meet again.

Love, Travis and Tonya Ratcliff

Don was a unique part of both of our lives during our young years together......one of Clineês closest friends during his high school years and my only –really important boyfriend” before meeting my husband of over forty years. We both have particularly cherished memories of him. He was unfailingly kind, respectful, loving - and such fun! His loss takes a piece out of lives I feel sure he had no idea his influence upon, We had the opportunity to see each other again at the 40th Reunion of the...
