Joan...sorry to hear about Don..I posted a note earlier but apparently clicked the wrong button "contact me"..

I know you are sad and we will all miss him. Look forward to seeing you in the lettermen lounge..Sam Brannon..Headland, AL

My deepest condolences to the family. This has to be the Don Downs (Tiger fanatic) that did a lot of work in New Brunswick with the Irving group. I worked closely with him for several years on the Thornes project and others. He was a very skilled consultant who knew how to bring two sides together, always. Its amazing how I came across this - I am watching the other Tigers playing Ohio. I thought of Don and just googled don downs auburn. And the obit came up. You have lost a wonderful man. ...

So sorry to hear of Don's passing. He was a true professional and his wisdom was instrumental in guiding us through an arduous process in reorganizing our warehouse, He had a profound effect on the success our business. May his memory be a blessing to his family and friends

Saddened to learn of the passing of a gentleman I was proud to call a friend personally and professionally. My deepest sympathy to Joan and his family and may they be comforted with blessings of fond memories of their time together. Rest In Peace Don.

Coach Don was a wonderful man and dearly loved by many. So very thankful to have called him friend

Don was one of my best buddies. We were together on the AU football team from 1958-1962. I have enjoyed so much being with him over the years for Letterman events. Assisting him with his granddaughter's admission to AU was a special activity. I will remember fondly.

Rest In Peace Don. War Eagle!
