i knew don through my father, craig mccormick who retired from allan automatic sprinkler corp in south san francisco, don got me my first job at marsh & mclennan, inc in 1967 for the summer for about 2 months then i returned to marsh & mclennan, inc in 1968 and stayed for 15 years. i really owe don a lot for giving me the chance at my first job, as i then become a senior computer operator in the IT department.
my condolences to his survivors. i will miss him dearly.

I remember Don Doyle telling his own story... of coming to San Francisco with hardly anything. From humble beginnings, he taught everyone he touched that anything is possible. Each of us will miss him in different ways; for his many community services, his accomplishments, I will miss him for his kindness and gentle ways.

Many years ago when giants walked into San Francisco nonprofit board meetings, Mr. Doyle served Independent Colleges of Northern California as Treasurer (and I as office staff). Probably, he filled each officer position, and some more than once.
