I worked with Don at Machine Design. Somehow I missed the notice of his passing in June. He was always highly thought of at the magazine.

I apologize for the lateness of my message, but I just learned this morning that Don has made his journey up to Heaven. He was a wonderful, kind, considerate man who I thoroughly enjoyed working with for many years at Penton. Just last week on a luncheon outing near the West Side Market, the topic came up about Don and how he organized lunchtime trips to the Market to get what he called, "The best Bratwurst sandwich in town!" He will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you...

Don was my favorite cousin. I remember sending him letters while he was in service duringWWII. We had fun digging a frog pond on his folk's farm when I thought of going into the frog leg business.
