Not sure what to say?

The World lost one of its best Doctors. Dr. Eck was the only doctor that kept me out if a wheelchair in my 30s after a bad accident. He was also the only doctor who understood that I did not want to be pumped full of drugs to do it. Even 4 decades later, I am still mobile, without pharmaceuticals and living out my life taking care of our animals and 30 acres. Dr. Eck, I can never thank you enough for your care, patience, knowledge and skill.

As I see this memory notice in my email, I am reminded of how nice it was to see you at Ellen's memorial at the end of July. It is through Ellen that I made a new friend in you! I knew of you through NM schools, girl scouts, music, but it was Omena! Just thinking of you, and wishing you peace, comfort, and love!

It has been a long time since I worked with don. He would fly across the lake to work with us in Wisconsin . To work with him was a pleasure for me.

Remembering a great person and family!

Wanda and Family,
We just learned of don"s passing and want to express our heartfelt condolences. Don was a great friend to my parents and to us. I will always have fond memories of visits on late Christmas eves assembling toys with him for the children. All of the Ecks remain in our prayers.

Wanda and Family, Bill and I just learned tonight of Don's passing. I will miss a true friend and respected colleague. Bill and I still talk of our last visit with you both at your farm. Carol Markiewicz

WoW. Really bummed on Don's passing. He was/is my HERO. And I told him so. But I also told him I didn't want to look like him. He repaired my back in 1984 and became a close friend fast. The first thing he said to me after surgery was , "what the heel you doing?" I was walking from bed to bed at the hospital. He said if I keep that up I was going to be able to go home soon. And I did. Thanks Doc, for everything.
I was hoping to see him soon and then this. I was talking about him just the...

Sorry to hear of your loss. I gave many anesthetics for Don's surgeries at both Northwest General in Milwaukee and New Berlin hospitals. He was essential to these two hospitals in their infancy. A pleasure to work with.

I was inspired by Dr Eck when I was a college student working at New Berlin Memorial Hospital to which he flew to do some of his surgery. I remember him fondly
