Not sure what to say?

I´m so sorry to just learn this. I have many happy memories of Don & Marie thanks to the friendship of Nick, Brad & my sister Shelley. Peppered Strawberries in Palm Springs & Don´s urging to "go try" will live in my memory forever. I´m thankful I got to share a few moments with Don again at Nicks memorial, after so many years. His smile & kindness were just as I remembered. Shelley & I express our deepest condolences to everyone who loved Don, as we know he´s joined those two souls to watch...

Yes, It was on the mourn
That I saw a ship a sailing
The sea was calm
The winds were fair
Don was young
And he was at the rail
With shipmates once again.---rs

While I didn't personally know Mr. Eklund, my family members did. Heidi's was my father's favorite place to eat and everyone took great care of him until the day he went to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (Dec. 2019: 94 yrs old). Every time I came home for a visit I, too, had to go to Heidi's and enjoy the good food (my favorite: the Fondue). I have wonderful memories of Heidi's and the excellent staff. My prayers of comfort for family during this time time of sorrow; but rest...

My thoughts & prayers go out to Mr. Eklunds family. I grew up with Nick & Marsha and remember their beautiful home on Kelso Road. I
remember first the berry farms and later Heidis Village in Boring, Heidis in Gresham and the subdivision he built off Kelso Road-naming streets after his children. A very close & loving family. Thinking of you all.

A great member of the Gresham business community. Much loved by the Fisher family including Doc Fisher. A wonderful person for sure.

My condolences to the family on Don's passing. I knew Don and Marie and Nick for more than 25 years, I was one of their food suppliers and we became friends over the years, Don was one of the best people I ever did business with and I considered him a friend. My 2 son's worked at Heidis as busboys and cashiers and always were impressed by how Don was so involved in the business being so successful. He was a kind and caring person who had a long successful life and he will be remembered...

Heidi's Swiss Village was the place my family went after church every week.
The atmosphere, the landscape, the friendliness, the train, so many memories. The kids ALWAYS looked for Betty to bring their drink with
a monkey or giraff or some other critter. Me, I was always impressed
how THE OWNER strolled thru saying hello to his guests. I wanted to
work there, I wanted to be a part of such a memorable place. I applied and that began THE JOURNEY of all journeys. Don...

We loved Don. He would always go out of his way to talk to customers and he would sit with Tom and I and ask about our family and tell us about his life when he and Marie were young! A sweet man who touched many people ❤❤❤❤
