Donald Arthur Elliott went home to Heaven Jan. 1, 2024. He was born on Sept. 17, 1940 to Willliam "Bill" and Ruth Deason Elliott in Salem, Indiana. In 1949, Bill sold the farm in Indiana and moved everyone to Windsor, Colorado, where they started a dairy farm. They moved to Greeley in 1956. Don...

Don was a very caring person of who my husband Stan cherished as his good Friend he will be greatly missed. RIP my Friend !!

Memories of Donald´s quiet leadership skills meander through more than 50 years of my life. Donald and wife Nancy were part of the scattered Brethren of northern Colorado who wanted a building in which to worship and a congregation of Brethren with whom to worship. They succeeded. Pews for this building came from a Brethren congregation closing in New Mexico and possibly brought to Windsor by Donald and Nancy. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Elliott Family. The Elliott's were family friends growing up so I have a lot of fond memories of time spent with them. Don was bigger than life and there wasn't a problem that he couldn't find a solution. I spent a summer working for him as a handyman at apartments he owned... he taught me things about property maintenance I still use to this day!
