Not sure what to say?

I reread the above biography for the first time since Don´s passing. It was good to relive those memories. I trained in Pradiatrics with Don at Einstein in the 1960s, visited him at his Navy base in Italy, and later at his home in Marin. He was a wonderful person- I have missed his presence. My thoughts go out to Lois, Eleanor, and the family. Mathy and Andy Mezey

I was thinking about Dr. Errante today, he was my pediatrician, so I google him. So sad that he has passed. My quick story is fun though... I think he'll smile down on us for it. It might have been my last appointment as a teenager. It was a Friday, I was on vacation from boarding school and had to see the doctor for somehting. I noticed his beautiful blue Porsche 914-6 had a for sale sign in the window. He drove it to work on Fridays he later told me. It looked stock by had a blueprinted...

Don and I were friends at Wesleyan. With his infectious sense of humor, his easy generosity and his love of his NY family, which I visited in 1955, he had a strong and positive influence on my life. And I still tell some of his jokes, albeit without his fabulous gestures and laughter.

I still miss you, Dr. E.

Sure do miss this wonderful man!!
His compassion and warm heart brought as much healing as his medical degree.

Always there with a kind word, good advice, support and the ability to put things in proper perspective. You are still missed, Dr. E.

Dr. Errante was my childhood doctor for about 16 years. I have fond memories of going to see him. Even when I was sick or hurt, he had such a soothing voice it always made me feel better. I can still hear it. His gentle demeanor made me feel calmer and that he would take care of me. He seemed like the kind of guy that was incapable of being mean. I can remember getting shots, which my sister and I hated, and afterwards he would take us to the front to pick out a pencil. Good man. RIP

To a Very Special Man. Would not have had such wonderful and dedicated work ethics if it had not been for Dr. Errante. I was always remembered by him as the FAZ!!! You will be so dearly missed by your family, former patients, and colleagues. Dr. Errante and I used to exchange Italian words and sayings while working in the office. Our families coming from the same regions in Italy. You will always have a special place in my heart.
"GOD BLESS YOU"

Much love to Lois and the...

What a wonderful pediatrician and human being he was. I had the respected pleasure of working with Dr. Errante on Mt. Zion pediatrics for a special program funded by the San Francisco Foundation to bring parents into the pediatric unit to care for their child and to stay overnight with their child. The program was called Care With Parent and was based on the belief that minimizing the separation trauma of the child would be best for their healing and reduce the trauma of a...
