I, too, was part of the neighborhood tribe that Pat Adams speaks of. We also played "little bang bang" at Pat´s house with plastic soldiers and Indians, ......weird memory. Don was an integral part of those formulative years and I occasional saw Don when visiting Lexington, the last time at our 50th high school reunion in 2016. He never changed that unbounding energy to get out and do things. He will always be a part of me. Dwight Peterson

Even though Don and I only occasionally saw each other over our adult years, we were close boyhood friends. Our parents moved to Rebel Road off Southland Drive in the mid-50's. Along with a few other neighborhood friends we spent endless carefree summer days playing baseball at the end our street before houses were later build, basketball on a goal off of our garage, building forts in the woods surrounding our neighborhood at the time, and just hanging out. Even though we are not related, I always affectionately considered Don my "Uncle Don" as I really do have an Uncle Don Fisher. I have great memories of working with Don during my short time at UCG Purchasing division where he would deliver invoices for the Parks & Rec Division. Don was always a kind and considerate gentleman while dealing with UCG staff and pool visitors. My utmost condolences to Don's precious family...
