Not sure what to say?

Don Jr. and I were hired by DPD on the same day and were in the same academy class. I met Don Sr. Shortly afterward. Don Sr. was in the Inspections Division, which was responsible for examining Department policies and procedures and making recommendations for improvement. From speaking with him from time to time during the years I was an investigator in CID, I know that no one could have cared more for the welfare of his fellow officers than Sgt. Don Flusche, Sr. He was a heroic police...

No one will ever know how may lives were positively touched by this servant throughout his many years of service to the citizens of Dallas. He was a man of honor and principle and can never be replaced . . . faint copies at best.

God bless you in your loss.

Mike & Grace...we are keeping your family in our prayers...the loss of a parent and role model is difficult ...you carry on your Father's love through your own family...God Bless and much love...

With sincere sympathy to Jonnie, Mike, and Karl. Your dad was my hero and will never be forgotten. How blessed we have been to have had him for so long. All of you are in my prayers.

Karl and Cindy - I was so sorry to hear of Karl's dad's death. I can only imagine what you are going through. Please know that you and your family will be in my prayers.

We sincerely exend our sympathy to the Flusche family. Don was a good partner, good officer and a good man. I remember fondly the many times we hunted together in 1960's. I regret that Betty and I could not attend the services as we are spending the summer in Lake City, Colorado. The family will be put on our prayer list at church this coming Sunday. May God surround all of you with His loving arms and give you His peace and comfort. Sincerely, R. C. and Betty Wagner

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

Don and Johnnie Flusche have been such good, friendly and helpful neighbors through the years. So many times they have been there for me, when help was needed.
God bless you all and keep you.

I had the privilege and pleasure of meeting Don just once - in March of 2007 in Oak Cliff. As a fellow former police officer, he treated me with great respect and gave me his time and attention. I know that I was honoured to spend a few minutes in the company of a DPD legend.
