Not sure what to say?

I had a wonderful career at Penn state and profited from the love and mentorship of Don Ford. God Bless him and his wife Carol

Dear family of Don, I just found this lovely obituary and wanted to reach out and offer belated sympathies. I have often thought about him, as he and Carol were such very important and close friends of my parents, Ted and Jean Vallance. I knew Don as both very smart , witty and extremely compassionate, and I especially recall his kind attentiveness to my parents as they were dying. He was a fine human being and I am glad to have known him. I am also happy that he lived such a long life- 96! ...

Thank you for your legacy. I finally pursued my B.S, within HHD as a returning adult in `97. Rest well, Dr Ford.

A truly great man. He hired my parents to work at Penn State, we stayed at their house when we first moved to State College. Without him, my life would be completely different

My deep condolences to the Ford family. I will never forget how Don welcomed me to Penn State when I join to be a new department head in the college. His legacy in the college and at Penn State speak volumes about the person he was.

I am a professor of Human Development at Penn State. Each day the spirit of Don Ford is present in our college. His legacy is deeply felt not only at Penn State but across the world in his vision for interdisciplinary approaches to developmental sciences. I wish you peace and comfort during this difficult time.

My condolences to the Ford family. Martin and Doug were classmates of mine and I remember going to their house once when I was in elementary school. I also graduated from Penn State from the College of Human Development that Mr. Ford helped create. He lived a long, full life and had an impact on many. I pray any current sadness will eventually be replaced by your fond memories and happy times.
