Not sure what to say?

My first summer job as a young man was with Don. He always treated me with respect and kindness. I just had a dream about him and wondered why and now I know. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends. I will never forget Don. Thank you my friend.

Here is Dad, "The Deacon" with one of the planes he flew "Heady Hedy" and "Monk" on his shoulder. He is missed. James

Dad and Monk with Heady Hedy

I'm so sorry to hear this. Don was always one of my favorite people. I cherish the memories of the many years that I worked for him. He was a great man and will truly be missed by many. My condolences to his family.

My Father (Robert F. Russell) served with Don out of Chico Army Air Corps Base before assigned to the South Pacific ( P-38 Lightning L Model). When I was wet behind the ears, He spoked very highly of Don's acumen in the cockpit & behind the lens. A champion by my measure....

I am so sorry for the loss of your father, Don.. May you all cherish all of the fond memories you had together. Thoughts and prayers to all of you, , Jim, Sioux, Mary Alice & Buzz.

Don was one of us who were photographers when there were only a handful. He was always up for the job and a good friend.

I'm truly sorry for your loss brother, may he Rest In Peace

I recall going to his studio to have my graduation picture in 1973. He was kind, thoughtful and knew how to get that golden smile upon are young faces. God Bless him and his loving family
