Not sure what to say?

I knew Don when I held a temp assignment at the USAir Simulator Training operation in Tampa FL for several months in the early 90s. Struck by his kindness to all and devotion to his family, he made a very positive impression upon me. Today, I suddenly recalled him and that he lived in Richardson at that time, commuting to Tampa during the week. I now live in the vicinity of Richardson. It was an honor to know him, and I offer respectful condolences to his family. Blessings.

Dear Don, from sitting in the cockpit with you to cruising the Everglades on my airboat, together - I WILL NEVER FORGET ABOUT YOU! You were the greatest, kind, sincere, honorable, and a charm to be around. You made my job easier. God loves you and your family, Gary Matthews

May loving memories bring you peace, comfort, and strength. Those who pass on, God keeps in his memory because they are precious in his eyes. My sincerest condolences. (Psalms 116:15)

I just now saw that Don passed away earlier this year. I just wanted to offer my condolences to the Furuta Family. Don was such a kind man and I am so grateful for the friendship he and Carol shared with my parents and for the generosity they extended to my family when my mom passed. I hope wonderful memories bring you all peace. Sincerely, Ann Inai-Shaw

Carol, Glenn, Ann, grand kids, Laren and Buddy. Don was a great friend. We met in 1959 on the first day we entered the USAF at Lackland AF Base, San Antonio, Texas. I last visited with Don and Carol in Oct, 2019. Don was a friend to everyone and he loved his family. I bet Don had as many hours volunteering as he did in his flying log book. I miss him. We both were in the AF and at Braniff at the same time but never flew together. Don you were a Special Person.

My deepest sympathy to Carol and children and grandchildren. What a privilege to have known Don as part of the FUMCR church family. May God bless you and keep you as you mourn the loss of such a special person---Don.

My family was a back alley neighbor to Don and Carol from 1998 to the the time they moved to Denver. I have fond memories of meeting Don in the alley. He working from his meticulously organized garage and me from my messy one. I only knew Don in his retirement and I think he worked harder than I did. He always had a project from yard work, to rotating tires, to building special project for the grandchildren he loved so much. Over the years I was privileged to learn of his service to our...

My heartfelt condolences to Don's wife, Carol, their children and grandchildren.
I met Don and Carol when we were students at Manual High school. I remember how soft spoken and kind with everyone.

I first met Don and his brother Ben at Manual High School. They left in 1956 and 1955. Fate brought, Don and I
together January of 1963. I was on my way to Vietnam and we had a short stop over at Guam Air bace in the pacific and there he was on the tarmac. Quite a surprise for both of us. My deepest condolence to his family
