Not sure what to say?

Mr. Gavilio mentored me. Incouraged and guided me to enter the athletic arena . He was the person who helped all my friends, giving us his valuable time after school. He will always be in my heart

One of the finest administrators I have ever worked with , while working as school nurse for 24 years in Flint. My condolences to his family.

The family of Don Jones enjoyed many years of friendship with your family. I am crying when I think of how I never got to see you again. I tried when you were in Colorado but could not figure it out. My dad, Don Jones, and my mom, Phyllis died as well. Mick I remember skiing at Mt. Holly with you. I hope all of you are doing well and I have Many fond memories with your family. May God bless you as you experience the loss of a parent. Carol Jones Rittenbery

May your memories wrap themselves around you and bring you comfort when they can. A great educator. Flint was quite fortunate that he was part of that great era.

I had Don Gaviglio for gym class in 8th and 9th grade. He touched many lives. I am sorry to hear of his passing.

Thank you for all for sharing great memories, compliments and condolences. We were and will remain very proud of our dad and all he did for us and for the kids of Flint; as one said..in the glory days. Our mother appreciates all of these messages.
Mick, Anne, Katy and Nancy

An integral part of Flint' glory days as one of Michigan' finest school systems. A leader in the schools and the community. Thanks Don for your leadership and commitment to the Flint Community Schools. Wonderful memories. Dan Cady

Mr. Gaviglio was a very positive and impacting influence on my life and career choice. Thank you Mr. Gaviglio. Rest in peace my friend. Rick Vosburgh, Flint Northwestern Class of 1965.

As a student at Longfellow Jr HS, in the mid 50's Mr Gaviglio was my first coach in organized sports. He taught me much about teamwork and hardwork, But most importantly a few hard lessons about honesty. I was lucky to have such a person as a mentor and teacher. My sincere condolences to the family
