Doc was a faithful usher at Maranatha for services and Saturday night concerts. He was never late and never absent without advance notice. He was a great example of commitment and dedication to the Lord. We miss Doc and Donna at Maranatha!

I spent Friday afternoons for a year with Dr. Gerard when I was a medical student. He was a kind and patient mentor for me. My great memories of him guided me throughout my career. My sincere condolences to his family and community.

My Condolences for you all. Doc took care of me when I was growing up. From broken bones to a softball in the face. He was there for me. He and Donna always made me feel welcome. He will be missed.

We are so sorry to learn of Dr. Gerard passing away. He was not only a excellent Dr. to us and our family in the years we lived in Lowell, he was also a dear friend and brother in Christ. We have fond memories of times shared with him and his wife Donna at First Baptist Church and fun places we went together. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Donna and the entire Gerard family. - The nicest place to be is in someone's thoughts, the safest place to be is in someone's prayers, the best place...

"Dr. Gerard was our family doctor during our childhood. My four siblings and I always looked forward to our visits with him, and he became one of our cherished memories. We adored him so much that we even named one of our cats after him-a tiger-striped cat that lived for many years. Dr. Gerard was a gentle and soft-spoken man who always made us feel at ease. I can only imagine the office staff's reaction when all five of us kids walked in together!"
